At SFH, we offer a solution for treating titanium and superalloy chips, designed to wash and degrease chips from machining before remelting.

During recycling, chips that are still contaminated with cutting oil or other contaminants can affect the final quality of the alloy, particularly for grades with a very precise chemical composition (e.g. Ti6-4 / TA6V).

Our technology makes it possible to:

• Effectively remove oils and contaminants that could alter the chemistry of the alloy.
• Reduce the residual carbon content to 50 ppm (0.005%).
• Preserve the original composition of high-value alloys (titanium, Inconel, etc.).
• Promote more sustainable and economical recycling of critical metals.

The principle of chip washing is precisely to remove residues (including oils/emulsions) from chips before recycling.
