Magnetic Separators
SFH magnetic separators are designed to magnetically extract iron particles from your cutting and other industrial liquids. They are available in a smooth drum or disk versions.
The magnetic separators are specially designed to filter ferrous materials contaminating coolant oils
Their use is appropriate for applications such as machining, grinding and the pre-filtration of sludge treatment.
Uninterrupted filtration, effectiveness of 80 to 90 % of ferrous particles removed, very low operating cost (no consumables), compact size and minimum maintenance. Sludge presser in series on smooth drums
Working principle:
- The contaminated coolant is pulled by gravity into an anti-magnetic discharge spout then on to the magnetic discs of the drum. Ferrous contaminants and a high proportion of the grinding abrasives are picked up by the magnetic drum, then automatically removed by the adjustable steel or brass scrapers before being collected in the sludge tank.
- A synthetic rubber roller mounted on springs squeezes the sludge and reduces it to a dry powder, which is further scraped out from the drum by a scraper and is collected in the sludge cooling tray. On the magnetic separators, a sludge press reduces sludge moisture
